The adult population of the United States will soon have a different
primary care experience than we’ve been used to. In the primary care
practice of the future, the physician’s role will increasingly be played by
nurse practitioners (NPs). In addition, the 150 million adults with one or
more chronic conditions will receive some of their care from registered
nurses (RNs) functioning as care managers.

Workforce experts agree on the growing gap between the population’s demand
for primary care and the number of primary care physicians available to
meet that demand. About 8000 primary care physicians (including doctors of
osteopathy and international medical graduates) entered the workforce in
2015, up only slightly from 7500 in 2005. And in fact, the number of yearly
entrants is expected to plateau at around 8000. But the number of primary
care physicians who retire each year is projected to reach 8500 in 2020 —
in other words, the number of retirees may exceed that of new entrants. And
the size of the primary care physician workforce will be declining even as
the U.S. population grows, ages, and becomes more adequately insured. (…)

En esta reunión se presentarán los avances del trabajo de las Redes y se
discutirán acciones de las Redes para contribuir a que los países logren el
Acceso Universal a la Salud y la Cobertura Universal de Salud.

*Objetivos*

   1. Discutir la visibidad de las Redes de Enfermería y los avances en el
   plan de trabajo acordado para 2015 – 2017*.*
   2. Discutir y determinar elementos de la gestión de las Redes, incluso
   la colaboración con los Centros Colaboradores en Enfermería/Partería de
   OPS.
   3. Socializar y difundir las acciones de las diversas Redes
   Internacionales de Enfermería durante el año de 2015-2016, y su rol en
   avanzar en la investigación en enfermería, liderazgo en la profesión,
   asistencia y la educación de enfermería y salud.
   4. Conmemorar 10 años de trabajo de las Redes Internacionales de
   Enfermería

El *Seminario Internacional *sesionará durante los días 1 y 2 de octubre en
el Instituto Nacional de Pediatría en México DF. Cito en Avenida de los

Este seminario lo hemos convocado por los 10 años de la Red ENSI, en el
mismo realizaremos homenaje a las fundadoras, paneles de resultados de las
redes nacionales y de proyectos multicéntricos, además serán presentados
temas libres y póster de trabajos científicos que han enviado colegas de
Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, España y México. Enviaremos el
programa el fin de semana!!!

Las colegas que deseen participar como asistentes, pueden hacer su
inscripción el *1ro de octubre a partir de las 8.00am en el Instituto
Nacional de Pediatría.*

Los días 3 y 4 se efectuará la* X Reunión de Redes Internacionales de
Enfermería de las Américas *en el marco del  *XV Coloquio Panamericano de
Investigación en Enfermería*, el mismo sesionará en el Centro Cultural
Universitario Tlatelolco, cito en: Ricar do Flores Magon 1, Cuauhtémoc,

El día *3 de octubre* de *9 a las 13* habrá *Reunión cerrada de
coordinadores Internacionales y Nacionales* y en la tarde de las *14 a las
19.30* habrá* Jornada Abierta para TODOS los miembros de las redes*.  En
esta jornada serà entregado por primera vez el premio de las redes!!

El día* 4 de octubre de** 8:00 a 13:30* se efectuará la *X Reunión
Internacional de la Red ENSI* en el *piso 19 en el Salón de las Banderas*.

Los días del 5 al 7 de octubre sesionará el *XV Coloquio Panamericano de
Investigación en Enfermería, *
