Dear Colleague,

Thank you to
everyone who completed the SciDev.Net Global Review during 2012. We had
over 3000 respondents from a range of industries and sectors ensuring a
credible and comprehensive sample informed our findings on the uptake of
scientific research for development and poverty reduction.

I am pleased
to say that your reflections and our analysis have shaped the strategic
objectives of SciDev.Net for the next five years. The survey also
presents a snapshot of the current state of knowledge brokering for
development around the world, revealing challenges to the policymaking
process in different contexts and drivers of the media’s relationship to
research.

 We have published your responses and our analysis of them in
our _Global Review 2012, _which is part of SciDev.Net's ‘Our Learning’
Series. The series aims to share insights and lessons about putting
science at the heart of global development.
