CALL FOR PAPERS: PRIMARY
HEALTH CARE / ALMA-ATA 

The Pan American Journal of Public Health [2]
announces a call for papers for an upcoming special issue on _PRIMARY
HEALTH CARE IN THE AMERICAS: FORTY YEARS AFTER ALMA-ATA,_ to be
published in 2018.  

RATIONALE: Forty years ago, the World Health
Organization member countries agreed on a set of principles at Alma-Ata
to protect and promote health of all people by articulating primary
health care as the guiding principle of a comprehensive health system.
After four decades of efforts and substantial implementation of policies
and programs that place primary health care at the center of health
systems, it is time to take stock of progress on meeting the goals of
primary health care.

The Pan American Journal of Public
Health [6] announces a call for papers for an upcoming special issue on
_MEN'S HEALTH IN THE AMERICAS: STATE OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND FUTURE
DIRECTIONS_, to be published in 2018 with support from the Global Men's
Health Foundation. 

RATIONALE: This special issue provides an ideal
platform to review the state of the current knowledge on men´s health in
the Region of the Americas, highlight progress and limitations and
foster efforts to write a new chapter in the field of personalized
medicine.
